Juan Castro-Baez, Sr.

SOUTHBRIDGE: Juan A. Castro-Baez Sr., 77, passed away On July 5, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. Juan leaves behind his 2 sons Carlos Castro of Southbridge, Juan Castro of Southbridge; and his 6 grandchildren Alexa, Olivia, Laylah, Isaiah, Tessalin, Brenna. Juan was born in Puerto Rico son to the late Antonio Castro and Fela Baez. He was the first Latino barber in the 1980’s before starting his own business in Philadelphia. When he eventually returned to Southbridge he continued to work as a barber in the area. He then later went on to work for American Optical as a machinist, retiring in the early 2000’s. He took pride in working on his home and doing home improvement projects after his retirement. He enjoyed playing pool with his friends. A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 7^th at 10:30AM at Oakridge Cemetery, Everett St. Southbridge, MA 01550.
