Joseph W. Prybyla, 92, of Brecksville, Ohio died Monday, May 22, 2006. Mr. Prybyla was born in Grafton, Massachusetts, the son of the late Kazimierz Przybyla and Antonia (Zastavna) Przybyla. Mr. Prybyla lived in Northbridge, Massachusetts until 1990, when he moved to Brecksville, Ohio. He was a member of St. Basil the Great Church in Brecksville. Mr. Prybyla served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1945, including a Tour of Duty in Europe with the 116th Ordnance Medium Maintenance Company. He was employed as a hat blocker by Kartiganer Hat Shop in Upton, MA and as a weaver by Stanley Woolen Company in Uxbridge, MA. Mr. Prybyla was preceded in death by his wife, Matilda M. (Filor) Prybyla, of Northbridge. He is survived by his son, Stanley G. Prybyla, daughter-in-law Patrice Metoyer, two granddaughters Alixandra and Katerina of Brecksville, OH; a sister Victoria Poliquin of Uxbridge, MA, a brother Frank of Millbury, MA and brother John of Northbridge, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday May 27th at 11:00 am in St. James Church, 89 Main St. (Rt. 122A) SOUTH GRAFTON. He will then be laid to rest with his wife in St. Patrick' s Cemetery in Whitinsville.
