Joseph Jolin, 79, is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, and his children; Victor and his wife, Kathy; Bill and his wife, Laura; Rebecca; Brian and his wife, Madelyn; Pam and her husband, Terry; Veronica; and his unofficially adopted son, Bryan LeBlanc, and Bryan’s service dog, Tuukka. He was the best Grandpa in the world to 11 grandchildren: Jason, Brina, Bill, Alia, Claudia, Amanda, Iliana, Garrett, Samantha, Danielle, and Nicholas; and 6 great grandchildren: Matthew, Elliott, Victoria, Henry, Braeden, and Elizabeth Belle. He also leaves behind five brothers: Paul, Frank, Emile, Marcel, and John; two sisters, Elaine and Diane; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Betty, and two brothers, Eugene and Phillip. He was also predeceased by his step-grandson, Nicholas Perry.
Joe worked most of his life with his best friend, Bud, at Soper’s Construction until his retirement. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Southbridge and enjoyed working and maintaining the church with his pal, Fred Pratt. Joe loved being home with his family and working. He had a generous nature and was always doing things for others. He was also one of the founders of Nick’s House, the Veteran’s home in Southbridge.
Calling hours and service will be Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Central Baptist Church, 256 Main Street, Southbridge from 10:00 to 12:00, Service will be at 12:00 followed by burial in North Cemetery in Sturbridge. There will be a reception at the Polish Club in Southbridge after burial.
