Jose Lopez

SOUTHBRIDGE: Jose Lopez, age 68, Overland Street, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at home, on September 4, 2024, after an illness. Jose was born in Orocovis Puerto Rico, to Nicomedes Areopajita (Ortiz) Lopez. He dedicated many years to living in the Southbridge area, where he became known for his strong commitment to family and faith. He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Jose C. Lopez of Southbridge, William Lopez of Southbridge, Solarin Lopez of Puerto Rico, Victor Lopez of Puerto Rico, Daisy Rodriguez of Southbridge, and Gladys Lopez of Southbridge, along with several nieces and nephews who cherished his presence in their lives. Jose was a person of deep conviction and joy, known for his endearing tradition of bringing out a special stuffed animal each year to celebrate his birthday. He had a passion for swimming and often shared his belief, stating, “Jesus is coming. "Jose's legacy of love and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 12, at 11AM in Emanuel Pentecostal Church, 293 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550.

Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
