CHARLTON: Jon D. Foskett, 51, of Gillespie Rd, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, Sept 30 after a battle with kidney cancer.
He leaves his wife of 33 years Sandra (Locke) Foskett; 1 daughter Melissa Lotter and her husband David of Charlton; 2 sons Jason Foskett and his girlfriend Kelsey DeMars of Brimfield and Matthew Foskett and his wife Anne of Charlton; 5 surviving brothers David A. Foskett, Richard D. Foskett, Donald C. Foskett, Gerry M. Foskett and Paul M. Foskett all of Charlton, one predeceased brother Robert Foskett, 2 sisters Jackie Phelps and Paula Gauthier both of Charlton, and Kathleen Kuehl who was raised with the Foskett family, 3 grandchildren Jaidyn, Madelyn, and Cody, cousin and best friend Dan Crowley and many neices and nephews.
Jon was born in Worcester, the son of the late Charles and Lois (Cummings) Foskett and lived in Charlton all his life. He owned and operated JF Concrete Co. for the past 15 years. He plowed snow for the town of Charlton for many years. He enjoyed golf, hunting, trips to the casino and most importantly spending time with his family and friends. He was extremely talented in all aspects of contracting and took great pride in his work, especially in designing his beautiful home and in rebuilding his 3 childrens homes. He touched the lives of many and will be forever missed.
His funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Oct. 4, in the Elm Street Congregational Church, at the corner of Elm St. and Park St. in Southbridge.
Calling hours are 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Burial will follow at Northside Cemetery, in Charlton and reception will follow at Knights of Columbus in Southbridge. Donations can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
