BRIMFIELD – Joanne M. (Jones) Visneau, 78, of East Brimfield Rd., died, Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at UMass Memorial Healthcare Center, after an illness. Her husband of 20 years, Robert J. Visneau, died in 1996. She leaves four sons, David Thans, of Brimfield, Shane Thans, of Springfield, Gary Thans, of Brimfield, and Bill McGrath, of Belchertown; two daughters, Sharon McGrath, of Leominster, and Terry McGrath, of Pennsylvania; one brother, Donald Jones, of Monson; three sisters, Harriet Labuz, of Palmer, Mabel LaPierre, of Acton, and Ruth Pritrizzo, of Maine; several grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
She was born on March 13, 1930, in Ludlow, MA, the daughter of the late Hildreth and Aletha (Heath) Jones, and lived in the area her entire life. Mrs. Visneau enjoyed singing, and participated in many community events and in her church choir. She also enjoyed upholstering and reading.
A private family service will be held in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge, MA. Mrs. Visneau will be buried next to her husband in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA. An online guestbook is available at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com.
