Joanne Rawson

May 18, 1950 — April 14, 2020

SOUTHBRIDGE: Joanne L. Rawson 69, of Southbridge passed away peacefully in her home on April 14, 2020 after a two year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Her parents, Albert and Bernice Menoche, welcomed their daughter into the world on May 18, 1950 in Putnam, Ct. She grew up in North Grosvenordale and was a 1968 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School.

Joanne will be greatly missed by her 5 children Nathan Rawson, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Angela Soper, Emily Pontbriant and Jonathan Collazo along with their spouses. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and the father of her three youngest children, Angel Collazo. Joanne was pre deceased by her husband Dane Rawson in 1989 and her brother Robert Menoche in 2010.

Joanne enjoyed spending time with her family. Her children meant the world to her and she loved family dinners. She loved to go shopping, QVC and going out to eat. She especially loved the Yankee Candle store, getting pedicures and was an avid dish collector. She had a great sense of humor and always knew what to say when you were having a bad day.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gordon and all of the staff at the Cancer Center at Harrington for their care and support.

And a special thank you to Norma Cintron for the countless trips to the hospital for treatments.

Due to the current health crisis her funeral services are private.

A public service will be held at a later date.

The Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge is directing arrangements.
