WHITINSVILLE: Jeannine M. (Vallee) Guertin, 89 formerly of Uxbridge and Northbridge, died Sunday, April 15, at St. Camillus Healthcare after an illness. Her husband, Emile Guertin, died on March 6, 2013.
She leaves three daughters, Paula and her husband Kenneth Tancrell of Tarpon Springs, FL; Priscilla and her husband William Ennis of Townsend, MA; Janet and her husband Daniel Daigle of Southbridge, MA; six grandchildren, Christopher Tancrell of Memphis, TN; Dr. Sarah Daigle and her husband Philip Baldyga of Windsor, CT; Matthieu Ennis and his wife Marissa of Beachwood, OH; Kyle Tancrell and his wife Kate of Palm Harbor, FL; Daniel Daigle of Southbridge, MA and Stephen Ennis of Waltham, MA; four great-grandchildren, Joshua Tancrell, Catlin Tancrell, Josephine Rose Ennis and Kaden Tancrell.
Jeannine was born in St. Damian, PQ, Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Olivine (Bilodeau) Vallee and moved to the United States (Linwood) with her family when she was seven years old.
She worked at the former Milford-Whitinsville hospital for nineteen years as a ward clerk.
During her retirement with her husband Emile, Jeannine traveled to and spent winters in St. Petersburg, FL. They both enjoyed camping, square dancing, and playing cards. She was also an avid sewer and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and reading.
Her memorial funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, April 27, at the Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St., Linwood, MA.
