STURBRIDGE: Janet Dauchy Celuzza, 79, of Charlton Street, died from pancreatic cancer on Friday, December 23.
She leaves Anthony Celuzza, her husband of 50 years. She also leaves her children, Stephen Celuzza and Elinor Ives, both of Sturbridge, and their spouses, Becky Celuzza and Joshua Ives. She was a loving grandmother to Emma, Sarah and Tom Celuzza, and Lila and Laurel Ives.
Janet was Assistant Chief Medical Technologist at Hackensack Hospital in Hackensack, NJ. After moving to Sturbridge, she served as Administrative Assistant to the Sturbridge Board of Health for 28 years.
She was active in Sturbridge politics, serving on both the Burgess and Tantasqua School Committees, and on the Design Review Committee. She was also a Trustee of the Joshua Hyde Library.
She and Tony enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Their home on the Common was always open to guests for a drink and friendly conversation. Their summer camp on Cedar Lake brought them much joy and was a spot for many casual social gatherings.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, December 28, from 4 to 7 P.M. at Paige Hall at the Publick House in Sturbridge. All are welcome. (Please enter from the bottom level, handicap parking is available at the street level).
Burial will be private.

Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, is assisting the family.
