SOUTHBRIDGE: Jane Wenninger, 62, died April 16, at UMASS after an illness.
She leaves her brother Ronald and sister-in-law Jane Wenninger of Texas.
Jane was born in Chicopee he daughter of Joseph and Cecile (Beausoleil) Wenninger and lived here most of her life.
Jane enjoyed music, playing the tambourine, taking long walks, tossing around a ball and many other things. Jane also enjoyed going to church, going out to eat and coffee.
Jane lived in a home filled with love and joy with 3 other people who were as special as she was. For many years she attended Life Skills INC DH1 and was a bank courier for Commerce Bank. She was very happy working as a courier and did an excellent job delivering interdepartmental mail.
When illness made it impossible for her to continue as a courier, she still enjoyed her walks and listening to music. It was then we discovered she enjoyed the tambourine as well as the IPAD.
Jane also leaves behind many people who loved her and will miss her very much. The crew at Highland St residence led by April O’Leary are heartbroken to not have her in their lives and was by her side every moment as the end came near. Her Life Skills family is also sad that she is no longer with them and will miss her but glad to know the suffering is over for her.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 1, at 11AM in St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Burial will follow at New Notre Dame Cemetery.
