STURBRIDGE: Jane (Wheeler) DiGeronimo, 56, of Applehill Rd, died Sunday June 27 in her home after an illness. She leaves her husband of 33 years Joseph DiGeronimo, three sons David J. and his wife Elizabeth (Daigle) DiGeronimo, Jeffrey W. DiGeronimo, and Steven M. DiGeronimo all of Sturbridge. She was the daughter of Ethel (Luken) Wheeler of Forked River, New Jersey, and the late George Wheeler,sisters Marilyn Dahl (Karl) of Forked River NJ, Gail Stevens (Alan) of Apex, NC and 12 nieces and nephews, and 15 great-nieces and nephews. Jane was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, and graduated from William L. Dickinson High School and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.
Jane was an Administrative Assistant at UMASS Memorial, Memorial Campus for the past 16 years.
She was a long-time member of the Sturbridge Federated Church.
Jane loved people, gardening, and making people laugh. She was a devoted friend to many. She will be sorely missed.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 30th in the Sturbridge Federated Church at the corner of Maple St and Rte 131 in Sturbridge. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, it was Jane\'s wish that memorial contributions be made to the Sturbridge Federated Church, PO Box 193 Sturbridge Ma 01566.
