Jane T. (Rebello) DeForge, 80, of Cubles Drive, peacefully passed away on January 19 at her home in Brimfield, following a brief illness. Her beloved husband, William E. DeForge, had preceded her in death on January 14, 2014.
Jane leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Predeceased by two brothers (Roland and Ernest) and two sisters (Lorraine and Barbara), she is survived by her sister, Charlene Kosmider of Thordike, her son William DeForge II of Brimfield, daughters Nina Piela and her husband David of West Brookfield, and Jeannine Romaniak and her husband David of Thorndike. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Amber, Adam, Mindy, Mary, Jason and Ethan, as well as one great-granddaughter, her pride and joy, Marvel-Lee.
Born in Palmer to George and Irene (Coache) Rebello, Jane was a lifelong resident of the area.
Throughout her working life, Jane served as an inspector for Burle (and formerly Galileo Electro Optics) and previously worked for Wrights in Warren. However, she was perhaps best known for her delicious food and the legendary meat pies she would prepare with unyielding dedication.
Jane derived immense joy from spending time with her family and cooking for those she loved. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth and laughter as she lovingly prepared meals for those she held dear.
Services to honor Jane’s life will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Agawam. The Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home on 51 Marcy St. Southbridge is entrusted with directing the arrangements.
Today we bid farewell to Jane T. DeForge – a remarkable woman whose memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
