James E. Scheinfeldt, 60, of Marina, CA, formerly of Southbridge, MA passed away
on September 11th, 2010 at Palo Alto Veteran’s Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Jim served in the U.S. Army where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant E-8,
from 1968 until his retirement in 1990. While in the Army, Jim served two tours
of duty in Vietnam as well as serving in Thailand, Okinawa, Korea, Germany and
several military installations within the states. He received an Associates
Degree from the University of Maryland in 1988. Jim was laid to rest on
September 22, 2010 at San Joaquin National Cemetery.
Jim is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Pilok “Nunie” Scheinfeldt of
Marina, CA, two sisters, Barbara Dolan and her husband Thomas of Charlton, and
Ruth Pinho and her husband Antonio of Raynham. He was the beloved uncle of
Christine Savoie and Cindy Lavoie of Charlton, James Jones Jr. of Dudley, and
Elizabeth Pinho of Raynham.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rex C. Scheinfeldt and Dorothy (Berry)
Scheinfeldt and a brother, David B. Scheinfeldt.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Central
Baptist Church, Main Street, Southbridge.
