STURBRIDGE: James W. Normandin, 73, of Main St. died Saturday, March 30, at Heritage Hall West in Agawam after a long battle with pulmonary disease. His wife Edith (Bumpus) Beaudry Normandin died Nov. 11, 2012.
He leaves 2 daughters Tracy Clark and her husband William of Riverview, FL and Kelly Normandin of Caribou, ME. A stepdaughter Denise Carr and her husband Jeffrey of Suffield, CT, 3 stepsons David Beaudry and his wife Ann-Maria of Stockholm, Sweden, Edward Butler of Oxford, MA and Mark Butler of Southbridge, MA, sister Antoinette “Toni” Benoit of Southbridge, brothers Pierre “Peter” Normandin of Southbridge, Paul Normandin of Southbridge, David Normandin of AZ, and Thomas “Tommy” Normandin of FL, a granddaughter Paige Clark of FL, step granddaughters Kirstin Carr of CT, Amanda Beaudry of Sweden, step grandsons Daniel Beaudry of Sweden, Curtis Butler of OK and Steven Butler of Southbridge and many nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his first wife Constance “Connie” (Poulin) Normandin died May 6, 2003, brothers Allard Normandin, George “Norman” Normandin, Robert “Bobbie” Normandin, Zepherin “Dick” Normandin, Rene “Emile” Normandin, Harvey Normandin and sisters Anne Marie “Margaret” Aho, and Alice Normandin.
He was born in Southbridge the son of the late Zepherin and Cecile (Duhamel) Normandin and lived in the area all his life. He served in the US Air Force.
Jimmy was a union dynamite blasting expert working throughout New England. He enjoyed collecting black glass, playing cards and visiting his extended family.
His funeral will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday April, 6, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
