CHARLTON: James N. Hague, 80, passed away peacefully on November 8, in Milford Hospital. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
James was born in Fall River, the beloved son of the late James and Jane (Henley) Hague. He spent many wonderful years in Charlton, where he touched the lives of those around him with his kind and gentle spirit.
Jim's journey through life was filled with love and devotion. He shared a beautiful bond with his late wife Pauline (Gagnon) Hague, who passed away on June 25, 2015. Their love story was one of unwavering commitment and companionship.
Family meant everything to James. He leaves behind his loving son Daniel and daughter-in-law Susan Hague of Franklin. Together they created a home filled with warmth and love. Jim cherished his role as a father and took pride in nurturing his son into the remarkable man he is today.
Jim adored his two grandchildren, Nathan and Madalyn. Their smiles brought so much joy to his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Their laughter filled his home with happiness and created memories that will endure for generations to come.
James's life was not without heartbreak. He suffered the loss of his beloved son Mark Hague in 2005. Mark's memory will forever be held close, as James navigated life with strength and a resilient spirit.
Jim will be fondly remembered by his brother David Hague of Fall River, and lovingly predeceased by brothers Allan Hague and Paul Hague. The bond between siblings is sacred, and the memories shared will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew them.
In reflecting upon James's life, it is clear that he found joy in both work and leisure. He dedicated himself as a Quality Assurance Inspector at A.J. Knott in Milford for over two decades, where he excelled in his profession with diligence and integrity.
As an active member of St. Joseph Parish in Charlton, James found solace in his faith and the community that embraced him. He also cultivated lasting friendships as a member of the Singletary Rod and Gun Club in Sutton.
Jim had a passion for Ham Radio Operation, connecting with people from all walks of life through his radio waves. His hobby brought him countless hours of joy and allowed him to form meaningful connections with others across the airwaves.
James had a variety of interests that filled his life with happiness. He found delight in collecting coins, building intricate HO trains, and engaging in both fishing and target shooting. However, it was his family that truly brought him the greatest joy. Their love and togetherness were the foundation of his happiness.
The funeral service to honor James's life will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, November 14th, at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, located at 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Prior to the service, loved ones are invited to attend a calling hour from 10AM to 11AM.
Following the service, James will be laid to rest at Northside Cemetery in Charlton. This final resting place will serve as a peaceful sanctuary where treasured memories of James can be cherished for eternity.
