Jacqueline Swain

April 1, 1927 — July 26, 2011

MALDEN – Jacqueline Swain, 84, of 295 Broadway, died Tuesday, July 26, in Epoch Senior Care, in Melrose.  Her husband, Norman Swain, predeceased her.  She leaves her loving family, John and Betty McInerny of Scarborough, ME, Patricia McInerny and Valerie Weaver of Greenwood, SC, Wendy McInerny, David, Mattie and Malcolm Seamans, of Gardnerville, NV, Jack, Kathleen and Wesley McInerny, of Portland, ME, and Steven McInerny and Maria McEachern, of Somerville, Ma.

 

 

 

She was born in Luxeuil les Bains, France, the daughter of Emile and Marguerite (Bassaler) Borde, and grew up in Southern France. After spending time in Paris, she came to the United States in 1953.

 

 

 

Mrs. Swain worked as an office manager for Boston University for 30 years at the College of Basic Studies.

 

 

 

She enjoyed traveling and cooking, but enjoyed the company of family and friends the most.

 

 

 

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, August 12, in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Everett St., Southbridge. 

 

 

 

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts Chapter, 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140.
