GRAFTON: Jaqueline "Jackie" M. (Heenan) Hayes R.N., aged 81, peacefully departed this world for her home in Heaven
on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at Overlook Masonic Post-Acute Health Center in Charlton Massachusetts. Jackie was born in Worcester Massachusetts, attended Worcester Public schools and was a long-time resident of Grafton Massachusetts.
Jackie was predeceased by her husband James G. Hayes in 1998. She was also predeceased by her
parents Walter and Leona (Brown) Heenan, her brother and two sisters. Jackie leaves behind two Step
sons; Michael Hayes and his wife Hope (Conrad Wilson) and Daniel and Katherine Hayes and one step
daughter; June Derby. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren;
Jessica and Jon Peck and their children Emma and Jacob, William Hayes, Jodi Hayes and her
partner Joseph Dipirro, James Hayes and his fiancé Kristin Staine. Jackie also leaves behind extended
family members and friends who were quite dear to her including Mary Shea of Worcester and her neighbors at Green Acres Grafton.
Jackie had a 48-year career as a Registered Nurse. She graduated from Burbank School of Nursing in Fitchburg and she earned her Master’s Degree in 1988 at the age of 52.
Her career included employment for the State of Massachusetts as well as private sector nursing. Jackie was also a nursing administrator and instructor of nurses.
Jackie was a member of St. Patrick Church in Millbury Massachusetts and devote of the Holy Rosary. Jackie loved to play board games and card games, especially Black Jack.
A life remembrance celebration will take place at the White Eagle Club, 116 Green Street in Worcester from 1-4pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
