UNION, CT. Ida (Isherwood) Brown-Albrecht, 88, of Holland Rd, died Sunday, April 25, in UMASS University Campus. Her husband Charles Albrecht died in 1989 and her first husband Richard Brown died in 1970. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law Christine and Deane McCarthy of Monroe, CT, a sister and brother-in-law Ena and Tom Aitken of Glastonbury, CT, a sister Edith Parkinson of Bispham, England, a stepson Charles, two grandchildren Devon McCarthy and Caitlin Muller and her husband Christopher, 6 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild. She was predeceased by her brother Roy and stepson Tom Albrecht. She was born in England the daughter of the late James and Eliza (McCulloch) Isherwood. During WWII she was a member of the English Home Guard and became a war bride in 1944. Ida was Financial Vice President at Old Sturbridge Village and upon retirement became an honorary trustee. During her retirement, she volunteered at Harrington Memorial Hospital knitting hats for new born babies. She also adored her yorkshire terriers. Her funeral will be held at 1:00PM in the Belanger-Bullard funeral Home 51 Marcy st. Southbridge, Ma. Burial will follow at Holland Cemetery.
