SOUTHBRIDGE: Henry J. Latour JR. 76, of Park Ave. died peacefully, Wednesday, on his birthday June 17.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Vivian (Wassmer) Latour, 2 sons Glen Latour and his companion Hannah Coty of Southbridge, Henry Latour III of Florida, 2 daughters Linda Bassan of Southbridge, Corrina Latour of Waterville, NY. a sister Shirley Luce and her husband Robert of Portsmouth, VA. 2 grandchildren Christopher Latour and Caydyn Latour.
He was predeceased by two sisters Marceline Jordan and Dorothy Bailey.
He was born in Southbridge, the son of the later Henry J Latour SR. and Emma (Choinard) Latour and lived in the area all his life.
Henry retired from Southbridge Tire after 27 years of service.
Henry interest and hobbies included hit and miss engines, classic hot rods, International Tractors.
He restored his own Model T automobile.
He was a member of several organizations including, Straw Hollow Engine Works, David Bradley Newsletter, Maytag Collector’s Club, Central Mass Steam, Gas & Machinery Association, Spark Plug Collectors of America.
Calling hours are 5 to 7PM Monday June 22, at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, MA
A graveside service will be at 10:00AM, on Tuesday, June 23, In St. Anne’s Cemetery, Arnold Road Sturbridge.
