STURBRIDGE: Henry F. Chartier, 80, of Fiske Hill rd. died Tuesday October 10, in his home after an illness. He leaves his wife fifty five years, Theresa (Hebert) Chartier, four sons, Gerald Chartier of No. Grafton; David Chartier of Holland; Marc Chartier of Dudley; Michael Chartier of Sturbridge; three daughters Diane Boudreau of Ware; Barbara Renaud of Southbridge; Suzanne Amari of Merit Island, Fl.; two sisters Rita Bond of Charlton; Flore Fuller of Fiskdale, fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A sister Irene LaFlamme died in 2001.
He was born on Southbridge the son of Hormisdas J. and Roselie (Belletete) Chartier and lived in the area all his life. He graduated from Brookfield High School and then served in the Navy during WWII. He was a Sturbridge Police Officer for over twenty years and also worked for Carter Home Improvement. He along with his father and uncle built several houses in the Southbridge and Sturbridge area. He was a member of St. Anneâ??s parish and the VFW. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at TEN AM, Saturday October 21, at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy ST.
