HELEN C. (BROWN) MCKINSTRY, 92 WOODSTOCK, CT - Helen C. (Brown) McKinstry, 92, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton, MA where she had resided for the past seven years. She was a former resident of Woodstock, CT and Southbridge, MA. Her husband of 53 years, William D. McKinstry, died in 1991. She leaves her daughter, Carol J. Lockwood and her husband William of Woodstock, CT; two sons William R. McKinstry and his wife Sheryl of Midland, MI; and Dennis M. McKinstry and his wife Carol of Sturbridge; six grandchildren: Christine L. List, Kurt W. Lockwood, Rebecca L. Drennan, Julie M. Waldron, Sara J. Cleaves, and Laura A. McKinstry; eight great grandchildren; her beloved niece, Barbara Clements of Dallas, TX; and several other nieces and nephews. A brother, Robert, predeceased her. She was born in Waterford, CT, daughter of Robert W. and Hannah (Strickland) Brown and was a graduate of Putnam High School. Her preferred occupation was that of homemaker. Helen was a member of the East Woodstock Congregational Church and a former member of the United Methodist Church and its Mr. & Mrs. Club of Southbridge, MA. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Grange. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 15th at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM at East Woodstock Congregational Church, 222 Woodstock Rd., E. Woodstock, CT. Calling hours are 6 - 8 PM Friday, April 14th in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St, Southbridge.
