Sturbridge: Harold A. Chapman, 68 formerly of Sturbridge, died Sunday, Sept. 4, in this
daughter' s home in Charlton. He leaves three daughters Robin Andrzejewski of Dudley;
Marcy Mahan of Ct.; Jody Marcille of Charlton with whom Harold lived with; a son Jason
Chapman of New Hampshire; his former wife and friend Cindy Chapman, three step
daughters Katriana Miller, Charlotte Martin, Sara Rigney-Smith all of Virginia, several
grandchildren. A daughter Cindy Chapman died in 1961.
He was born in Southbridge, the son of Harold and Esther (Snell) Chapman and lived in the
area many years before he became an independent truck driver. He graduated from Cole
Trade High School in Southbridge in 1955 and graduated from Ambassador College in
2004.
Mr. Chapman was a weight lifter and was titled Mr. Texas in 2002.He enjoyed
playing the harmonica, banjo and Bluegrass music.
He was a Navy veteran. He was an independent truck driver for many years and previously
was a machinist for American Bosch Co,. in Springfield.
Calling hours are FIVE to EIGHT PM, Thursday, Sept. 8th, in the Belanger-Bullard
Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Funeral services are private. Quinebaug Lodge of
Masons with conduct a service at SIX P.M. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions
