George E. Renaud Jr., a resident of Warren, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023, at the age of 90 at Elaine Center at Hadley. His beloved wife, Patricia (Hebert) Renaud, preceded him in death in the year 2000.

 George was born in Southbridge, Massachusetts to George E. Renaud, Sr. and Catherine (Caldwell) Renaud. He spent his formative years in the Southbridge MA area and attended Southbridge Trade School before bravely answering the call of duty and joining the Marines. George proudly served as a Gunner in Korea, during the Korean War.

 A self-employed carpenter for most of his life, George's skilled craftsmanship can be seen in the houses he built and the meticulous home repairs he carried out throughout the area. His dedication to his work was a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.

 In addition to his professional accomplishments, George was a member of several organizations including the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, and VFW in West Brookfield and a member of the National Rifle Association. He also had a passion for outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, but above all else, he cherished spending time with his beloved family.

George was a loving husband, devoted father, adoring grandfather, and doting great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

George is survived by his children Denise Smith of Texas, George Renaud III of Southbridge, Cynthia Patraw of Ware, Carl Renaud of Warren, Michael Renaud of Southbridge, John Renaud of Maine, Joy Martenstyn of North Carolina, Kimberly Renaud of Sturbridge, and Alan Renaud of Greenfield. He also leaves behind two sisters, Irene Desautels of Savannah, Georgia and Lillian LaFleche of Hampton, New Hampshire.

George's legacy extends to his twenty grandchildren: Jessica Lodge, Edwin Renaud, George Renaud IV, Justine Czaplicki, Melissa Waleski,  HeathWaleski, Heatherer Waleski, Carl Renaud Jr., Ashley Burns, Nicole Renaud, Joseph Renaud, Noelle Breen, Anthony Breen, Patricia Renaud, Lucas Renaud, Samantha Hunter, Alexis Martenstyn, Phelicia Soto, Garrett Smith, Devin Renaud and Nathaniel Renaud.

He was predeceased by his son Scott Renaud who died in 1982.

His passing also leaves a void in the lives of his great-grandchildren, Allysia Lodge, Rylan Lodge, Tanner Renaud, Kylie Renaud, Alyssa Renaud, Kellie Letendre, Rachel Latendre, Lalana Patraw, Brennan Gilesman, Reece Czaplicki, Jayde Gordon, Jacob Gordon, Shainna Debbis, Ella Hunter, Rowan Morux, Liam Morux and Amya Rodriguez.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, December 10th, at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home located at 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. A funeral service with full Military Honors will take place at 10 AM on Monday, December 11th, at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery located at 1390 Main St. Agawam, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George's honor may be made to ST. Jude's Hospital at www.stjude.org.
