STURBRIDGE: George O. Rabidou, Jr., 81, of Sturbridge, passed away on, March 13, 2022, at his home in Sturbridge.
He leaves behind his wife of 58 years of Christina (Jezerski) Rabidou; his son George Rabidou III, and his wife Cynthia of Stella, NC; his daughter Deborah Butler and her husband William Butler of Sturbridge; his brother Michael Rabidou and his wife Sue of Oxford; five grandchildren Evan, Jake, William, Bailey, and Chelsea; and six great grandchildren Elias, Jaxen, Abriel, Lux, Bryson, and Thea.
Born in Worcester son to the late George O. Rabidou, Sr. and Noella (Morin) Rabidou. He was predeceased by his daughter Michelle Rabidou in 1993; his brother James Rabidou; and his sister Diane Souza.
He was a graduate of South High in Worcester. George was retired from the Navy for his service of 20 years, and Vietnam Veteran. He worked for 18 years at Mario’s Restaurant and The Red Garter Pub as a bartender.
George had a passion for the Native American Culture he enjoyed learning about their history. He made Native American dreamcatchers, ceramics and Jewelry.
