George Breau

SOUTHBRIDGE: George A. Breau, 77, of Warren Streed died Wednesday, June 21^st in Harrington Memorial Hospital after an illness. George was predeceased by his wife of fifty-one years in 2016, Barbara (Morrow) Breau. George is survived by his daughter Stacie Partlow and her husband Marc of Southbridge; his brother Ernest Breau of Freetown; his granddaughter: Sarah Hawk and her husband Eric and four great granddaughters: Charlotte, Madelyn and twins Cordelia and Genevieve. George was born on April 11, 1940 in New Bedford to Aldric and Lillian (Smith) Breau. George served for the United States Army from 1962-1968 during the Vietnam Era. George worked for the Purdy Corporation in Manchester, CT, which specializes in aerospace transmissions. After his retirement he delivered flowers for Forever Floral in Southbridge. George enjoyed fishing, painting, reading, playing pool and visiting the library. He was a friend of Bill W. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George’s name can be made to the Jacob Edwards Library, 236 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550. Private services will be held at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Cemetery in Agawam. The Belanger-Bullard Funeral, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA 01550 is directing arrangements.
