SOUTHBRIDGE â?? Frances (Rocholl) Whittlesey, 81, of Ashland Ave., Southbridge, died Monday, June 30, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. Her husband John Whittlesey died in 1983. She leaves a daughter, Karen Doe of Charlton, four sons David Whittlesey and Mark Whittlesey, both of Brooksville, Florida, Brian Whittlesey, of Torrington, CT, and Paul Whittlesey, of Suwanee, GA; six grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Whittlesey was born on May 4, 1927, in New Milford, CT, the daughter of the late William and Christine (Bindewald) Rocholl. She retired in 1986, after 18 years of service, as a secretary for the Shepaug Valley Regional School District. She was an active member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Southbridge.
Her service will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 2, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Hamilton Street, Southbridge. Calling hours will be, 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Tuesday, July 1, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in New Milford Cemetery, New Milford, CT.
