SOUTHBRIDGE: Frances (Leo) Jacques, 72, of Worcester St. died Saturday, March 18 in her home after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 46 years William Jacques; 3 sons: Paul M. Jacques of Southbridge, Andrew W. Jacques and his wife Christine of Wales and Jonathan Jacques of Webster; 3 brothers: Dennis Leo of Spencer, Richard Leo of Charlton and Michael Leo of Sturbridge; 2 sisters: Phyllis Chartier of Worcester and Theresa Leo of Sturbridge; 8 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by a son Jeffrey Jacques and a brother Frank Leo.
Born in Southbridge she was the daughter of the late Francis and Theresa (Latour) Leo.
Frances was a member of St. Anne’s St. Patrick’s parish in Fiskdale and former member of St. Joseph parish in Charlton where she was an Eucharistic Minister. She helped organized the Interfaith Hospitably Network in the area. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1962 and Fisher Junior College.
She was a bookkeeper for several area companies including the American Optical, Eastern Seaboard Packaging Co.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and most of all her grandchildren.
Her funeral Mass will be held at 10:00A.M. Wednesday, March 22, in St. Anne’s Church, 16 Church St., Fiskdale section of Sturbridge (Please go directly to church).
Calling hours are 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, March 21, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
