CHARLTON – Emery “Frenchy” Duval, 81, of Masonic Home Rd., formerly of Southbridge, passed on Monday, September 7, at Overlook Masonic Healthcare, after an illness. He leaves his daughter, Michelle Burden, and her husband, Craig, and their son, Matthew, of Woodstock, CT; a sister, Yvette LaFleche, of Southbridge; a step-son, Boyden Elder, of Japan. He was predeceased by two sisters, Germaine Servant and Irene Duval.
He was born on March 11, 1928, in Nicolet, Canada, the son of the late Ernest and Elodina (Marcotte) Duval. He was employed by Paquette’s Trucking, and retired after 40 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding his Harley Davidson, shooting pool, playing pitch, hunting, bartending, and watching hockey.
A funeral service will be held at 7pm, Thursday, September 10, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge. Calling hours will be before the service, from 5 – 7pm, Thursday, September 10. An online guestbook and video tribute are available at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com
