BRIMFIELD/YORK, ME - Ellen Jean (Kenrick) Wentworth, 78, of York, Maine, died Saturday, May 10, in York Hospital. Her husband, Timothy L. Wentworth, died in August of 2001. She is survived by her four sons, Timothy, and his wife, Cathy, of Southbridge, MA, Daniel, and his wife Nanci, of Cooperstown, NY, William, and his wife Deborah, of York Harbor, Maine, and Dennis, and his wife, Kay, of Wales, MA; a daughter, Amy McCurdy, and her husband, David, of Raeford, NC; two sisters, Frances McDonald and Betty Smith; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, William Kenrick, and two sisters, Norma Rowley and Olive Neitz. She was born on October 11, 1929, in Framingham, MA, the daughter of Frank A. and Olive H. (Willis) Kenrick. She graduated from Sherbon High School. Mrs. Wentworth lived in Wales, MA for 25 years, where she enjoyed raising her family. She and her husband fulfilled a life-long dream in 1995, moving to York Beach, Maine, and living there for 11 years. Her favorite pastime was watching the waves roll-in at Ogonquit Beach. She also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and eating ice cream with her great grandchildren at Nubble Light House. A private family service was held at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge. The Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
