BRIMFIELD: Elizabeth (Hammesfahr) Ast, 67, of Brookfield Road went home to the Lord on April 25, 2007. She leaves her husband of 28 years Donald Ast, three sons Daniel Krause, of Cliffwood, NJ. Donald Ast Jr. of Port Richie, FL., William Ast of Sutter Creek, CA., a sister Barbara Putnam and her husband Tom of Point Pleasant, NJ., two brothers Robert and his wife Arlene Hammesfahr of Leonardo, NJ., Ralph Hammesfahr of Blowing Rock, NC., a granddaughter Ashley Ast of Spring Hill, FL. and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son Arthur Krause who died May 12, 2001
She was born in Queens, NY, the daughter of Robert and Jesse Hammesfahr and lived in Brimfield since 1988. She retired from Rehabilitative Resources in Sturbridge, as Human Resources Director.
She was a member of the Central Baptist Church where she was the clerk and serving on many committees. She loved her Church family and is now with a greater one.
Her funeral will be held at 10:00AM Monday April 30th, in the Central Baptist Church, Main St. Southbridge. Calling hours are 2:00PM to4:00PM Sunday, April 29 in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Baptist Church.
