SPENCER: Elaine T. (DeFoe) Kemp, 83, of 55 No. Brookfield Rd died Friday, Jan. 20, in her home with her children by her side. Her husband Louis Kemp died in 1992.
She leaves a son Henry Kemp and his wife Debi of Oxford, a daughter Toni Houle and her husband Peter of Spencer, 5 grandchildren Justin Houle, Russell Kemp, Michelle Reddick, Jared Houle, Breanna LaCroix, and 9 great grandchildren.
She was born in Oxford the daughter of John and Cecelia (Provost) DeFoe.
She was a member of the Leicester Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mrs. Kemp was a homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother. Family was very important to her. She also enjoyed spending time in the ministry teaching others about the Bible. A memorial talk will be held at 1:30PM, Saturday, Jan. 28, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah\'s Witnesses 458 Main St Cherry Valley.
Burial will be private in North Cemetery in Oxford. There are no calling hours.
Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge is assisting the family.
