Edith Mellor

SOUTHBRIDGE; Edith Mellor, 93, of 336 Charlton Street, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, in Webster Manor after an illness. She leaves her devoted nephew and caregiver Bob Mahan and her devoted grand nephew Kevin Mahan, several nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Harold Mellor and three sisters Eva Mahan, Grace Perreault and Louise Blair. She was born in Hartford, CT. the daughter of Joseph and Eva (McLean) Mellor and lived in Southbridge most of her life. She was a press operator at The American Optical Co. where she worked for forty nine and one half years before she retired and was a member of the firm' s Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards. Her funeral will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, Jan. 27, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. A calling hour will be 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the service.
