Sturbridge: Edith (Bumpus) Beaudry-Corriveau-Normandin, 72, of Main St. Sturbridge died Sunday, November 11, in Hartford Hospital unexpectedly after a brief illness. She leaves her husband of 7 years James Normandin, her son David Beaudry and wife Ann-Maria of Stockholm, Sweden; her daughter Denise Carr and husband Jeffrey of Suffield, CT; her brother Everett Bumpus, and wife Adrienne of Charlton; 2 sisters Margaret Robinson, wife of Timothy Robinson of Sturbridge, and Janet Arns of Southbridge; her step children Michael Corriveau of Sturbridge, Laura Corriveau of Sturbridge, James Corriveau of Sturbridge, Pat Curran of Worcester, Tracy Clark of Riverview, FL, Kelly Normandin of Maine, 8 grand children Kirstin Carr, Daniel Beaudry, Amanda Beaudry, Paige Clark, Paul Corriveau, Ben Corriveau, Joshua Curran, Jason Curran and nephews and nieces.
Her first husband Robert Beaudry died Jan. 31, 1992, her second husband Leo Corriveau died Dec. 22, 1997.
She was also predeceased by her brother George A. Bumpus, and a sister Phyllis Bellrose.
She was born in Hyannis, the daughter of Everett and Marie Irene (Biron) Bumpus and lived in the Sturbridge area most of her life.
She worked for the American Optical for 26 years, and then worked for Yogi Bear Campground in Sturbridge over 30 years and retired as Business Manager.
Edith enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, Atlantic City, winning at card games, but most of all she enjoyed her family.
Calling hours are 5:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday, Nov. 14th in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
Her funeral will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, Nov. 15th in the Sturbridge Federated Church, Main St (RT 131) Sturbridge. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southbridge.
