SOUTHBRIDGE: Dorothy (Bremer) Corriveau, 96, of Briarwood Ave. died November 7, at Overlook after an illness. Her husband Raymond Corriveau died July 29, 1974.
She leaves her 2 daughters Jo-Ann and her husband Robert Rafail of Southbridge, and Sandra Partlow and her companion John Balderelli of Sturbridge, Son-in-law Benjamin Perez of Sturbridge, 2 grandchildren Carlene Logan, Eugene Corriveau and his fiancée Hedi Kummer, 2 great grandchildren Andrew Logan and Dale Corriveau and his wife Amanda.
Beside her husband she was predeceased by her 2 sons Gilbert Corriveau who died December 16, 2014, Robert Corriveau who died June 9, 2016, and Robert's wife Carol Corriveau who died May 19, 2012, brothers and sister Frederick Bremer, Leonard Bremer, Robert Bremer, Gilbert Bremer, Jenny Britzman.
Dorothy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Frederick and Jane (Vanleeuwen) Bremer and lived in the Southbridge area many years.
She was manager for the Publick House Bakery for 16 years and after her retirement she worked for Sturbridge Antiques for the next 20 years until the age of 85.
She enjoyed trips to the Maine coast, eating out, antiques, baking, yard sales, shopping with her friends but most of all she enjoyed the family reunions.
Dorothy will always be remembered for her wit and practical jokes.
At her request a private service will be held in The Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104
