Doris Beeman

June 10, 1919 — August 9, 2014

HOLLAND: Doris B. Beeman passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the age of 95. Her husband, Joseph Beeman, predeceased her in 1961. She leaves 3 sons; Arthur S. Beeman of Holland, Arnold B. Beeman of Sturbridge and James F. Beeman of Bridgewater, 4 daughters; Nancy M. Peck of Bernardston, Geraldine H. Martin of Florida, Linda Benson of Holland and Lucy Banford of Wales, a brother, Bryant Burrows Jr., 2 sisters; Lucy Beeman of Brookfield and Ethel Dobias of Greenfield, 24 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Sisters; Marion Olsen, Eda-Jean Woods and Edith Flynn, a brother, Bryant Burrows Jr., a grandson, Kenneth Beeman and an infant grandaughter predeceased her. Born the daughter of Bryant Burrows, Sr. and Hazel (Shaw) Burrows in Bernardston, MA, Doris graduated from Powers Institute and Franklin County Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. She worked as an RN for Harrington Hospital retiring after 30 years. A longtime member of Holland Congregational Church where she was the Organist, Doris loved her family, her grandchildren, card games and puzzles. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, September 7, in the Holland Congregational Church, 11 Sturbridge Road, Holland, MA 01521. A Fellowship will follow the service at the Holland Senior Center, Brimfield Road, Holland, MA 01521, where all are invited for refreshment.
