Donald Olson

SOUTHBRIDGE: Donald E. Olson, 80, of Chapin Street, died Monday July 24,
at home after an illness. His wife Barbara (Haggerty) Olson died Feb. 9,
2001. He leaves a son Donald Olson and his wife Kathy, of Uxbridge, a
brother William Olson and his wife Julia of Southbridge, a sister Arlene
Small and her husband Wayne of Lakewood, CA and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Carl Olson.
Born in Norwich, CT he was the son of the late Arthur and Ruth (Ericson)
Olson and lived in the area for many years. After graduating High
School, he joined the Army during the Korean War. Donald was a chef at
Rom's Restaurant in Sturbridge for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, gardening and riding his ATV.
Calling hours are Thursday, July 27, from 4 to 6PM in the
Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge. A service will
follow at 6PM in the funeral home. Private burial will be in Oak Ridge
Cemetery, Southbridge at a later date.
