Donald A. Hay, 88, of Masonic Home Rd. died Thursday, April 25.
He leaves his wife of 63 years Mary M. (Walsh) Hay; a son Robert A. Hay of Dudley; 3 daughters Nancy Hay of Milford, Susan Hay Pease of Bristol, RI, Sally Hay Reppucci of Peoria, AZ, a brother Alexander M. Hay of Dennisport, a loving cousin Matthew A. Gerrior of Pacific Grove, CA and five grandchildren.
He was born in Boston the son of Alexander and Evelyn (Simpson) Hay and lived in Medfield, Bristol, NHand most recently Charlton for the past 7 years.
Mr. Hay graduated from Needham High School in 1942 and MIT 1957.
He was a self employed metallurgist for many years.
He was an avid skier and was a member of the SilverStreaks Ski Club at Waterville Valley. He enjoyed sailing his Pearson 32 and was a member of the Bristol RI Yacht Club, and the Lake Winnipesaukee Yacht Club.
He also enjoyed golfing, watching hockey and soccer but most of all he enjoyed being a Dad to his children.
A private service will be held at the Overlook in Charlton.
