Dennis Normandin
June 5, 1951 — July 26, 2011
SOUTHBRIDGE – Dennis C. Normandin, 60, of Mechanic St., died Tuesday, July 26, at UMass Memorial Healthcare. He leaves two sons, Christopher Normandin, of Brookfield, and Jason Normandin, and his wife, Emily, of Orange; three brothers, Ricky Normandin, of North Grosvenordale, CT, Tim Normandin, of Southbridge, and Jonathan Normandin, of Woodstock, CT; two sisters, Deborah Pontbriand, of Southbridge, and Missy Borsic, of Tacoma, Washington; 5 grandchildren, Gabriella, Hayleigh, Christopher Jr., Bradley, and Blake; his dear friend and uncle, Paul Normandin, of Southbridge; a loving ex-wife, Arlene Normandin, of North Oxford; several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was born in Southbridge, the son of the late Zepherin and Betty Louise (Howard) Normandin, and lived in the area most of his life. He graduated from Southbridge High School and from Springfield Technical Community College for Constructional Engineering. He worked in drilling and blasting the majority of his life and was lastly self-employed as a flooring installer.
He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and riding Harley’s (before he had children). He especially enjoyed classic cars. He was a hard worker, a wonderful provider and father, and will be missed greatly.
A Memorial Talk will be give at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 700 Worcester St. Southbridge at 7:00PM, Monday, August 1st.
