David Horsley

DUDLEY: David Horsley, 86, passed away Sunday, Dec. 11, peacefully in his home on Dudley Hill, where he and his family lived for sixty years.  His wife Jeanne  (Simonds)  Horsley died in 2011.

He leaves his two sons- Scott Horsley of Cape Cod, Bryan Horsley of Storrs, Connecticut; three grandchildren – Bryan and his wife Meredith of Harwich, Shannon Stedman and her husband Josh of Southington, Connecticut, and Craigen of West Haven, Connecticut; and two great grandchildren – Phineas of Harwich and an unborn child of Shannon and Josh who is expected to join the family in the coming weeks. His brother Robert L. Horsley died in 2005. He also leaves his ex-daughtes-in-law Elaine Hayes and Kathleen Shannon.

 He was an Army Veteran and proudly served his country during the Korean War.  

David served as President of the Webster Five Cents Savings Bank where he worked for the majority of his career.  He enjoyed playing golf across the street at the Nichols College Golf Course and vacationing on Cape Cod and Hawaii and most of all spending time with his family. His hobbies included golfing and model ship building.

He was member of the Webster-Dudley Rotary Club.

David’s funeral and burial will be private.
