STURBRIDGE: David P. Burnett 69, of New Boston Rd., passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 38 years, Judith (Dansereau) Burnett; a daughter Pamela Kelly of Monson, son Gary Curtis of Ludlow and daughter Christine Gaughran of Farmington, NH; son of late David and Elizabeth Burnett, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Holyoke, David graduated from Holyoke High School and completed his Business Degree at Holyoke Technical College. David resided in Sturbridge for the past 16 years with his wife Judy. David retired after 20 years of service from the United States Postal Service in 2007. David also served as a Supervisor in the trucking and freight industry for 30 years. He faithfully served in the United States Army for 3 years. He was a member of the St. Anne’s Church where he was actively involved in the Choir and was a Eucharistic Minister. David was also a member of the Mt. Holyoke Masonic Lodge and the Melha Shriners.
His funeral will be held at 9:00am, Tuesday, November 24th, from the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home 51 Marcy St. Southbridge with a Mass at 10:00AM in St. Anne’s Church, 16 Church St., Sturbridge. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Arnold Rd, Sturbridge. Calling hours are 6:00PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 23, at the funeral home.
