SOUTHBRIDGE: Cynthia A. Hackett, 69, of Southbridge, passed away on November 25, 2021 at her home. She leaves behind her sister Sandra Menard of Brimfield, and her loving friend Wayne Martel of Southbridge. Cynthia was born in Southbridge daughter to the late Warren Shippee Sr., and Andria (Tetreault) Shippee. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Hackett. Her brother Warren Shippee Jr., her sisters Carol Gauthier, Susan Burlingame and Rebecca Dumas. Cynthia worked as a secretary for an optical company for many years. She also worked at Dexter Russell Harrington in Southbridge. She attended Southbridge High School and went to Nichols College where she graduated with her Associates Degree. Cynthia’s favorite pastimes were reading, collecting cookbooks and going to the local flea markets. Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge, MA is directing arrangement.
