Cynthia M. DeCelle, born on August 15, 1951, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024. A woman of remarkable dedication and perseverance, Cynthia devoted her working life to various roles in her community, notably at the Memorial Hospital in the kitchen, serving as a crossing guard in Southbridge, and later as a shuttle driver for Charlton shuttle. Her commitment to service exemplified her genuine care for others, making her a beloved figure among those she encountered in her professional life.
Cynthia cherished family gatherings, where laughter and love were always in abundance. The warmth she brought to these occasions will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of sharing these moments with her. In addition to her devotion to her family, she also found joy in playing bingo at the casino, often celebrating her wins with a smile that brightened the room.
She was predeceased by her husband Lowell DeCelle who died June 1, 2007. Cynthia is survived by her two sons, Jason and Heath, both of Southbridge, and her daughter Gretchen of Southbridge. She also leaves behind her brothers, Andrew Fanion of Florida and Walter Fanion of Auburn, as well as her sister, Alice Martini of Arizona. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Fanion and her sister Ann Marie Simson. Her legacy will continue through her many nieces, nephews, and 3 grandchildren Andrew, Nicholas and Isabella., who will carry her memory in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her husband, as well as her brother Robert Fanion and sister Ann Marie Simson. Cynthia M. DeCelle will be remembered for her loving spirit, her dedication to her family, and the joy she spread throughout the lives she touched.
At Cynthia's request all her services will be private. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery, Agawam.
