Christine Merceri

SOUTHBRIDGE - Christine A. (Jensen) Merceri, 62, of Village Dr., was called home by the Lord on Friday, February 27, after an illness...  She leaves two daughters, Lynne Merceri, of Southbridge, and Karen Esser, of Ft. Worth, TX; her mother, Dorothy (Miller) Jensen, of Putnam, CT; two brothers, Carl Albert Jensen, of Texas, and Eric E. Jensen, of Ohio; four sisters, Jean E. DeGioia, of Garrison, NY, Norma French, of Putnam, CT, Nancy Thornton, of Woodstock, CT, and Patricia Jensen, of Putnam, CT; four grandchildren, Jedidiah Adams,Stephanie Merceri,Erin Adams and Wyatt Adams; one great-granddaughter, Jaiana Bradley;and many nieces and nephews. She was born on January 24, 1947, in Ware, MA, the daughter of Dorothy Jensen and the late Albert R. Jensen, and lived in the area her entire life.  She received her GED from Southbridge High School in 1976. She was a sunday school teacher at Assembly of God.She worked for the Food share bank and for the YMCA as a child caretaker. She was a faithful believer and enjoyed spending time praising the Lord. She was a talented seamstress and made many  costumes, clothes, and crafts to share with everyone. Calling Hours will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, March 4, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.  Her funeral will be held at 8:00p.m., following calling hours.   Spring burial will take place in the Brimfield Cemetery.  An online guestbook is available for Christine at www.BelangerFuneralHome.com.
