Christine Lillian Bacener

Southbridge - Christine L. (Christian) Bacener, aged 74, passed away on Saturday, May 18, after being set free from Alzheimer's disease, she departed peacefully at home. She is survived by her loving family including her daughter Ann Marie Guiou of Southbridge, her siblings Robert Christian of Vermont; Sandy Mozdzierz of Florida, Louise Julian of North Carolina, Cathy Christian of Southbridge and predeceased by her sister Lucille St. Laurent. Christine had 3 grandchildren Nicole, Brandon and Michael, along with 4 great grandchildren Connor, Cecilia, Ethan and Eloise who she loved spending time with. She also had a hand full of nieces and nephews. Christine was able to be at home with her loving daughter who took excellent care of her 24/7. Despite facing the difficult challenges of her disease, Christine was still able to be happy and make memories with her family.

 Christine was born on October 16th, 1950, to the late Alfred H. and Cecilia B. (Frechette) Christian of Southbridge, Ma. After attending Tantasqua Regional High School, Christine attended Fanning Trade School and St. Vincent School of Nursing. Christine worked hard to become a dedicated nurse specializing in geriatric care, Christine devoted her career to working in various nursing homes in the Worcester area.

 Christine took great pride in her sunroom plants and in her beautiful garden in her free time. Christine loved the deer and different birds that would visit her backyard. In her younger years Christine loved shopping with her best friend Ann and visiting with her sister Louise in North Carolina often. She also adored her cat Coco who will miss her greatly. Christine will be missed by her family and friends who will forever remember how wonderful she was. May she rest in the sweetest peace.

 A funeral service to honor Christine's life will take place at Noon, on Saturday, June 8, at the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home on 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.

 Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Prior to the service, calling hours will be held from 10AM to Noon.
