SOUTHBRIDGE - Charles Lavallee Sr., 59, of 555 Worcester St., died Tuesday evening at Oakwood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Webster.
He leaves a son, Charles Lavallee Jr., of Everett, WA; a daughter, Shannon Lee Spalding, of Exeter, NH; two sisters, Anita Summers, of Thompson, CT and Lugene Gibeault, of Garden City, SC; 4 grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, nieces and nephews, aunts, a great-aunt, several cousins and his caregiver, Melissa LaPlante, of Southbridge.
He was born in Southbridge, the son of Joseph and Irene (Caouette) Lavallee, and lived in the area most of his life.
He graduated from Marion Hill Catholic High School in 1970. He was a Vietnam veteran and served 11 years Air Force. He worked for Schotts in Southbridge.
He was a member of Notre Dame Parish. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed socializing with his Laurel Ridge friends.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, Feb. 28, in Notre Dame Church, 446 Main St. Southbridge. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Woodstock, Rd. A calling hour will be held at 8:30AM to 9:30AM in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St., Southbridge.
