Burton Landry

July 4, 1922 — December 24, 2011

CHARLTON: Burton “Burt” Landry, Jr. passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Elaine (Croft) Landry and his brother Robert Landry.

He leaves two daughters, Judith Lee of Davenport, IA and Jeanne Leatham of Webster, MA; 3 grandchildren, Rachel Lee, Alyssa Leatham and Christian Leatham and 6 great grandchildren.

Burt was born in Worcester, MA to Burton and Agnes (Mill) Landry. He was an Electronics Engineer and graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston, MA. He was happiest in his career working for the AO in Southbridge and as the electronics engineer at WARE and WESO radio stations.

Burt was a member of the Webster Masonic Lodge AF &AM and received his 50 year Masonic pin in 2010. Prior to moving to the Overlook Communities with Elaine, the family lived at Riebe Avenue in Webster and Central Street in West Brookfield. The family attended the West Brookfield Congregational Church. He was devoted to his wife Elaine. He enjoyed constructing electronics and audio systems and was active in improving the audio systems at the Overlook Masonic Communities Facility.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 30 at 2:00pm at the Chapel at Overlook Masonic Health System, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 in the chapel.
