Beverly Morse

STURBRIDGE: On July 11, 2021, Beverly B. Morse, 97, a longtime resident of Sturbridge passed away peacefully at The Overlook Masonic Health Center in Charlton.
Born to Arthur and Barbara Brookes in 1924 in Middletown, CT. She was the second of eight children and was predeceased by her brothers Duane, Verne and Lyle, and sisters Norma Randall, Marilyn McRoy and Barbara Hooker. Her only surviving sibling is Mary Alice Matulevich of Haddam, CT. Beverly also leaves several beloved nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
She was predeceased by her husband Wayne H. Morse in 2008. She leaves behind two sons, Dale and his partner Elizabeth Hutchings (recently deceased); Gregory and his wife Debrorah; four grandchildren, Carrie, Lee, Jacob and Eric and three great grandchildren, Zoey, Zahra and Logan.
Beverly enjoyed her work in the Accounting Office at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge and later as the Town Accountant for Sturbridge.
Our mother was a kind and generous person and made family the most important focus in her life. She will be dearly missed by family and friends who will remember her as a gentle, caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was a longtime member of the Sturbridge Federated Church.
Calling hours are 5 to 7PM. Sunday, July 18, in the Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy St. Southbridge.
Her funeral service will be held at 10AM Monday, July 19, in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations to The Overlook Masonic Health Center, 88 Masonic Home Road, Charlton, MA 01507 would be greatly appreciated. The staff there does a wonderful job of caring for so many.
