Betty DiGregorio

June 25, 1926 — November 23, 2016

SOUTHBRIDGE   -  Betty Grace (Weaver) DiGregorio, 90, formerly of Worcester Street, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2016, in the Southbridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. 

 

 She leaves her Husband of 60 years, Anthony DiGregorio, of Southbridge, her daughters, Carol Ann Dillon Auty, of Medway, MA and Susan Michelle Dillon Barone, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and a step-daughter, Dara Amore, of Rhode Island.   Betty also leaves six grandchildren,  Kim Thibeault and Sheri Tagliaferri, both of Medway,  MA, Heather Perrone, of Mendon, MA, Stacy Remillard, of Northbridge, MA, Jason Cronin, of Oakdale, CT and Nick Barone, of Haddam, CT, eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.  She was predeased by her step-son, William Joel DiGregorio, her five brothers, Julius Mack Weaver, John Otis Weaver, Everett Weaver, J. C. Weaver and Arthur Weaver, and her six sisters, Elsie Gertrude Scott, Lela Josephine Weaver, Nancy Zelma Smith, Evy Weaver, Mary Elizabeth Nowokunski and Martha Lue Tucker.

 

 Betty was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, the daughter of William Arthur Weaver and Martha Estella (Stanley) Weaver, and moved to the Southbridge area in 1956.  She was a member of the Southbridge Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 60 years and was very active in her faith.  During her years in Southbridge, Betty worked at Billis’ Diner, Ovides Restaurant and at the American Optical Company. Betty loved to yard sale and buy and sell antiques.  She enjoyed music and loved to sing. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

 

 We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for the kindness and compassion they extended to Betty while caring for her.

 

 There are no calling hours. 

 

There will be a private burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Southbridge. 

 

 Belanger-Bullard Funeral Home, 51 Marcy Street, Southbridge, MA is directing the arrangements.
