Beatrice Taraskiewicz

STURBRIDGE – Beatrice (Vickers) Taraskiewicz, 88, of Dunedin, FL, formerly of 63 Cedar Street, Sturbridge, passed away May 22, 2010.  Her husband, Edward, died in 1983.  She leaves a daughter, Maureen Faye LePain, of Dunedin, whom she lived with; one grandson, Mathew LePain, and his wife, Marissa, and their daughter, Savannah, of Palm Harbor, FL.  She was also predeceased by her sister, Helen Pelletier, formerly of Holland; three brothers, Ralph Vickers, Harry Vickers, and Charles Vickers; and a son-in-law, Paul LePain.

She was born in Sturbridge, the daughter of Charles and Juliette (Hewitt) Vickers, and lived in the area for most of her life.  She graduated from Mary E. Wells High School in Southbridge, the class of 1940.  In 1983, after 43 years of service, she retired from the American Optical Co., and spent her retirement in Florida.   

Beatrice was a member of the Federated Church of Sturbridge.
