SOUTHBRIDGE: Barbara M. Boudreau, 87 of Chapin Street, passed from this world into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 22, 2019.
She was surrounded by the love of family and friends, who compassionately cared for her in her final weeks.
She leaves her daughter Cheryl P. Soper of Brookfield, MA and her son Brian D. Boudreau of Pittsfield, MA. She also leaves her grandchildren, Tricia Poulin and her husband Jeffery Poulin, Matthew Soper, Brian Boudreau Jr., and Austin Boudreau. Great-grandchildren Lily Poulin, Bella Poulin, Grace Poulin, Layla Boudreau, Delilah Boudreau and Jace Boudreau.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, David G Boudreau, her mother Adella Montville, her grandson Kyle Boudreau and great-grandson JJ (Jeffery Jr. Poulin)
Barbara was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, born to Joseph Montville and Adella Montville (Fix). She grew up in many towns in Massachusetts but settled with her husband and family in Sturbridge, residing there most of her life.
Barbara was employed by The Old Sturbridge Village and enjoyed many years working at the Horn of Plenty Gift shop. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her husband, across the country and to Hawaii.
Barbara was owner of Boudmonte Bassets Breeding and spent many years training, showing and judging Basset Hounds.
In her later years she was an active member of Faith Baptist Church located in Southbridge, MA. serving as Deaconess, Nursery Caregiver, a Choir Member, and signing for the Deaf Ministry.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, August 3rd, at Faith Baptist Church, 515 Dennison Drive, Southbridge, MA. A luncheon reception will follow after the service.
